VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Leadership & Directors

  • Director of Philanthropy: Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have bravely served our country? Warriors First Inc is in search of a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as the Director of Philanthropy.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the organization’s goals and initiatives
      • Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, sponsors, and philanthropic partners
      • Lead grant research, proposal writing, and submission processes to secure funding opportunities
      • Collaborate with the team to create engaging fundraising campaigns and events
      • Utilize various communication channels to effectively convey the organization’s mission and impact to potential donors and partners
    • Qualifications:
      • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development (preferred)
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
      • Proven ability to strategize and implement successful fundraising initiatives
      • Passion for supporting military service members and first responders
  • Community Service Project Coordinator: Are you enthusiastic about organizing impactful projects that benefit our heroic veterans and first responders? Warriors First Inc is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to step into the role of Community Service Project Coordinator. By joining as our Community Service Project Coordinator, you’ll directly contribute to creating positive change in the lives of our heroes. You’ll have the opportunity to lead projects that make a tangible difference and foster a supportive community for those who have served our nation.
    • Responsibilities:
      • Coordinate and oversee community service projects focused on supporting veterans and first responders
      • Collaborate with local organizations, volunteers, and sponsors to plan and execute impactful initiatives
      • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful execution
      • Organize volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement for project implementation
      • Evaluate project outcomes and impact, reporting on achievements and areas for improvement
    • Qualifications:
      • Passion for community service and supporting our nation’s heroes
      • Strong organizational and project management skills
      • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
      • Experience in project coordination or community service initiatives (preferred)
  • Volunteer Services Manager
    • Responsibilities
      • Develop and implement strategies for recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers aligned with the organization’s mission
      • Coordinate volunteer programs and initiatives, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for volunteers
      • Assess volunteer needs and match volunteers’ skills with organizational requirements
      • Establish procedures and guidelines for effective volunteer management and recognition
      • Collaborate with other team members to integrate volunteers into various organizational activities
    • Qualifications
      • Experience in volunteer management, coordination, or leadership (preferred)
      • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to inspire and motivate volunteers toward a common goal
      • Passion for supporting military service members and first responders
  • Grant Proposal Manager
    • Responsibilities:
      • Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and objectives
      • Lead the development and writing of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and guidelines
      • Collaborate with the team to gather necessary information, data, and impact metrics for proposals
      • Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar and manage proposal submission deadlines
      • Foster relationships with funders and foundations to enhance grant acquisition opportunities
    • Qualifications
      • Previous experience in grant writing, proposal development, or nonprofit fundraising (preferred)
      • Strong written communication and research skills
      • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlins
      • Passion for supporting military service members and first responders

Fundraising & Events Management

  • Online Campaign Creators
    • Brainstorm, design, and publish online fundraisers using GiveButter.
    • Brainstorm, design, and publish online raffles using GiveButter.
  • In-Person Event Managers (Virginia)
    • Brainstorm, organize, and implement events and promotional activities.
    • Partner with local small businesses, corporations, agencies, companies, foundations, organizations, and/or other nonprofits to collaborate and co-host events (community service events and/or fundraisers).
    • Recruit, organize, and lead event volunteers.
  • In-Person Event Managers (South Carolina)
    • Brainstorm, organize, and implement events and promotional activities.
    • Partner with local small businesses, corporations, agencies, companies, foundations, organizations, and/or other nonprofits to collaborate and co-host events (community service events and/or fundraisers).
    • Recruit, organize, and lead event volunteers.
  • General Event Volunteer
    • Appear at scheduled in-person events and activities.
    • Assist with manning our location and/or our vendor table, educating and communicating with the general public, share donation platforms and collect, distribute informational material, and promote our overall mission and goals.
  • General Online Volunteer
    • Share our mission and online campaigns across personal and professional social media and own individual networks.
    • Draft and send emails sharing our mission and online campaigns to personal and professional contacts and networks.
    • Promote upcoming events and social media pages.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Researchers & Relationship Builders
    • Drive business development
    • Grow our network of connections and service providers
    • Establish formal and informal partnerships and foster collaborations
  • Email Campaign Managers
    • Utilize Google Workspace domain Gmail, GiveButter.com, &/or MailChimp
    • Draft & send weekly, monthly, and quarterly emails to our contact lists
  • Brand Builders on LinkedIn
    • Drive activity and engagement on our LinkedIn page and with other similar and like-minded organizations and connections
    • Increase our LinkedIn following and network
    • Actively cross-post and re-share content flow; participate in groups and forums
  • Brand Builders on all Social Media Platforms
    • Drive overall community engagement across all social media
    • Increase our following, views, “likes,” and interactions (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)

Social Media

  • Content Creators & Posters – Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter
    • Attend weekly meetings to discuss strategy and brainstorm campaigns.
    • Create graphics, pictures, reels, videos, and advertisements to post across all social media platforms. 
    • Post the content.
  • LinkedIn Page Manager
    • Post announcements, updates, and articles on our page.
  • YouTube Page Manager
    • Upload our shorts and videos to our YouTube page.
    • Organize/categorize all shorts and videos into labeled playlists.
    • Create merch store tab on our page, and keep it organized and updated.

VOLUNTEER ON THE BOARD

  • Join Warriors First Inc.’s Board of Directors: Are you passionate about supporting our nation’s heroes? Warriors First Inc is seeking dedicated and driven individuals to join our Board of Directors and make a lasting impact on the lives of at-risk military service members and first responders.
    • Commitment: Part-time, Volunteer Basis
    • Location: Flexible (Remote)
    • Key Responsibilities:
      • Collaborate with fellow board members to establish organizational goals and strategic plans
      • Provide leadership and guidance in fundraising efforts and sponsor acquisition
      • Contribute to governance by attending board meetings and actively participating in discussions
      • Advocate for the organization’s mission and objectives within your network and the community
    • Qualifications:
      • Passion for supporting military service members and first responders
      • Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or strategic planning (preferred)
      • Strong communication and teamwork skills
      • Commitment to attending scheduled board meetings and dedicating time to organizational needs
    • As a Board Member, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding our mission to provide temporary housing, financial assistance, and comprehensive support to those who have served our country selflessly.
